Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh – A normal school day turned into a nightmare at Sunbeam School in Maharajganj on Monday morning when a fight between students led to a deadly stabbing. One student lost his life, and three others were hurt in the chaos that has shocked the local community.
The victim, Aditya Verma, a 10th-grade student from Yusufpur in Mohammadabad, was attacked with a knife during the scuffle. According to reports, the fight started over an old argument between two groups of students. Things got out of hand quickly, and a 9th-grade student allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Aditya multiple times in the chest. Aditya was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. The three injured students, including ones named Aman and Sahil, are getting treatment and are said to be in serious condition.
Police from the Kotwali station acted fast after the school called them. They have taken the accused 9th-grade student into custody and are questioning him. Officers, led by station in-charge Deendayal Pandey, are looking at CCTV footage from the school to piece together what happened. They believe the attack might have been planned since the knife was brought to school in a bag. If any lapses in school security are found, action could be taken against the management too.
Aditya’s family is heartbroken. The police are waiting for the postmortem report to move forward with charges. This incident has raised big questions about safety in schools and how disputes among kids are handled.
As the investigation goes on, parents and locals are calling for stricter rules to stop such tragedies. The school has not yet commented publicly, but the whole area is in mourning over this senseless loss.
