Kasganj, August 17, 2025 – A heartbreaking incident has shaken Rajpur village in Kasganj’s Dholna Kotwali area, where a 32-year-old woman, Usha Devi, lost her life due to a quack doctor’s carelessness. Usha was taken to a local unlicensed practitioner, Tej Singh, after suffering from a high fever. According to her family, Tej Singh gave her an injection, but within minutes, her condition worsened, and she passed away on the spot. The family alleges the wrong injection caused her death, a claim backed by a postmortem report citing a severe reaction to the drug.
According to an official statement by Kasganj Police in an X post, the local police promptly reached the spot, carried out the panchayatnama of the body, and sent it for post-mortem. Further necessary action is being taken at the police station level.
This isn’t the first time Kasganj has faced such a tragedy. Just months ago, similar cases involving quacks led to deaths, including a young child and a pregnant woman. Locals are frustrated, blaming the health department for not cracking down on illegal clinics.
