Noida, Uttar Pradesh, August 14, 2025 – With Independence Day and Janmashtami just days away, Noida Police are leaving no stone unturned to keep the city safe. Senior officers, led by the Commissioner of Police, Laxmi Singh, have been out checking security arrangements at key spots like the ISKCON temple and other public places. The police department has rolled out a detailed plan to ensure peace during these big celebrations, with special instructions to ramp up intelligence work and check vehicles at city borders. Some officers will even be stationed in plain clothes to keep an eye on things without drawing attention.
On Wednesday, Joint Commissioner of Police Rajeev Narain Mishra visited the ISKCON temple in Sector 33, along with other senior officials and a police team. They looked closely at the temple’s security setup, especially since Janmashtami, which celebrates Lord Krishna’s birth, is expected to draw huge crowds on August 16. The officers gave clear orders to the temple staff and local police to stay extra alert. They also checked other busy spots like markets, malls, and public squares to make sure everything is in place for a safe Independence Day on August 15.
The police have issued a set of guidelines to strengthen security across Noida. They’ve asked the intelligence team to stay sharp and gather any information that could help prevent trouble. At the city’s borders, police are stepping up vehicle checks to stop anything suspicious from entering. This is especially important after recent incidents in other parts of Uttar Pradesh that have put law enforcement on edge. To blend in with the crowds, some officers will be dressed in regular clothes, watching for any unusual activity during the festivals.
“We’re doing everything we can to make sure people can celebrate safely,” said a senior police official. “Independence Day and Janmashtami are special, and we want families to enjoy without worrying.” The ISKCON temple, a major spot for Janmashtami, will have extra police posted around it. Temples across Noida are also getting special attention, with officers coordinating with temple managements to manage crowds and avoid any mishaps.
