Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – A tragic incident unfolded in Malihabad’s Rahimabad area late Monday night, where a 32-year-old man, identified as Aman Dixit, was brutally murdered at his home. The alleged motive: a long-standing property dispute within the family.
Residents recall hearing frantic screams around midnight. A group of six men, reportedly close relatives, forcefully entered Aman’s home in Bakhtauri village. In front of his young sister, they attacked him with sharp weapons and bricks. Despite her desperate pleas, the assailants continued until Aman collapsed. He was pronounced dead on the spot.
The motive appears clear: Aman had repeatedly resisted attempts by his uncle, Pankaj Dixit, and other relatives to seize ancestral property that originally belonged to his late uncle. This dispute had festered for over a year, with tensions escalating in recent months.
A FIR has been lodged naming six accused villagers, including Pankaj. At least one suspect has been detained, while others remain absconding. Police have registered the case under murder and are conducting raids to apprehend all involved.
Investigation Underway
Law enforcement teams collected forensic evidence and recovered brick fragments and blood-stained items from the scene. Officials say family members had previously informed police about threats, but preventive action was limited to minor peace orders. Now the probe is gaining full intensity.
Authorities from Malihabad police station were swiftly deployed. Senior officers, including the local SHO, are overseeing the investigation. Statements have been recorded from neighbors and the victim’s sister, who witnessed the murder. Police are carefully examining every angle, including the history of threats and previous complaints filed by Aman.
