Ghaziabad, September 1, 2025 – In a disturbing incident in Ghaziabad’s Muradnagar police station area, a young woman has accused a man named Zubair Ali of deceiving her with a false identity, luring her with a job offer, and then raping her at a hotel. The case, reported on September 1, 2025, has sparked outrage, with local Hindu organizations calling it a case of “love jihad” and demanding strict action against the accused.
According to the victim’s complaint, Zubair Ali introduced himself as Rahul, a Hindu, to gain her trust. He allegedly promised her a job and convinced her to meet him at a hotel. There, she claims, he raped her and recorded the act on video. The accused reportedly used the video to blackmail her, repeatedly forcing her to meet him at hotels for further assaults. The woman also alleges that Zubair stole personal items from her home, including a gold ring, earrings, silver items, and two mobile phones.
The Muradnagar police acted swiftly after the complaint was filed. Zubair Ali was arrested, and a case was registered under sections 64 (rape), 308(2) (criminal intimidation), and 351 (theft) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. Additional Commissioner of Police, Alok Priyadarshi, confirmed the arrest and stated that the investigation is ongoing. “We are looking into all aspects of the case, including the victim’s allegations of blackmail and theft,” he said.
