PRAYAGRAJ, Uttar Pradesh, July 29, 2025 – Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a key meeting with MPs, MLAs, and MLCs from Prayagraj and Vindhyachal divisions at the Circuit House in Prayagraj on Tuesday, focusing on speeding up development projects and addressing local issues. The meeting, part of the ongoing ‘Janpratinidhi Samvad’ series, aimed to gather ground-level feedback to shape the region’s growth.
The session saw lively discussions on infrastructure needs, with representatives pitching projects like better roads, bridges, and tourist facilities. Yogi stressed that Prayagraj and Vindhyachal are vital to Uttar Pradesh’s cultural and spiritual identity, saying, “Their growth will drive the state’s progress.” He urged officials to prioritize proposals from elected leaders, especially for single-connectivity roads and tourist spots under the Chief Minister Tourism Promotion Scheme. The meeting covered plans for flyovers, bypasses, and irrigation projects to boost connectivity and local economies in the seven districts of these divisions.
Key attendees included Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Minister of State Sanjeev Gond, Prayagraj Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani, and District Panchayat Chairman Dr. VK Singh, alongside other MPs, MLAs, and MLCs. Yogi directed the Public Works Department to organize and prioritize these proposals by constituency, ensuring quick action. He also emphasized involving local leaders in drafting urban development plans to reflect community needs.
This meeting follows Yogi’s recent efforts to strengthen coordination between officials and elected representatives after complaints about bureaucratic delays. Sources say over ₹19,000 crore worth of projects have been approved for three divisions, including Prayagraj, showing the state’s commitment to growth. However, some expressed concerns about ensuring these plans are implemented on time.
The meeting comes amid preparations for the 2027 UP Assembly elections, with Yogi urging leaders to connect with voters, especially Dalits and the poor, to ensure welfare schemes reach everyone. His push for tourism in Prayagraj, fresh off the success of Maha Kumbh 2025, aims to make the region a global draw. As the state gears up for more such meetings, locals hope this dialogue will bring real change to their communities.
